Administration could use it during faculty meetings to teach and discern information. Our Student Government program could use XPRESS to facilitate voting for student elected offices. Teachers could use XPRESS to enhance teaching - specifically for our state standardized testing. XPRESS could be THE tool to use to reach our students at-risk who are not motivated by normal "lecture" type classrooms. |

Teachers would be better able to prepare students as well for the state regents exams in global and U.S. history required for graduation in New York State. They would be able to quiz students and see topics that need more emphasis. |

In classes of any size, but particularly in larger classes, active student-teacher interaction is also limited by the "intimidation factor." That is, no student wants to offer a wrong answer or private comment with many peers and friends listening in |

Rarely does each student in a classroom have the opportunity to express their views and responses to discussion questions. With XPRESS, a classroom of 25-30 students would have equal opportunities to voice their thoughts and feelings without being bowled over by the more vocal students |

The Audience Response system is certainly a digital tool which will strengthen our program and complement the goals of our instruction which I refer to as E3 = Engaging Educational Experiences |

Many other uses for XPRESS also exist. These include electronic surveying of large groups during large group instructional programs and meetings, such as community and public meetings |

We have found that most of our students respond well to this and are highly motivated to learn when the lessons are interactive and stimulating. XPRESS is exactly what we need to allow students, especially those with little confidence, to participate in lessons in an enjoyable and non-threatening way. |

The interactive student response system allows teachers to insure responses from all students. This insures "No Child Left Behind". The ability to involve all students increases the level of achievement of all the students. To increase the involment and increase the monitoring of student achievement allows for teachers to move the curriculum forward faster without worrying about struggling students not keeping up. This is invaluable for assessing progress and mapping curriculum. |

X.P.R.E.S.S = "X"TRAORDINARY "P"ERIPHERAL "R"ESPONSE "E"LECTRONIC "S"YSTEM for "S"TUDENTS/SCHOOLS. XPRESS can help our students "express" themselves more accurately, and efficiently than traditional paper tasks. The teachers can monitor, evaluate and adjust to the needs of the students in a more efficient manner as well. |

Using the remote response system, student can be assessed on their knowledge of specific material and review material in a new format. The ability to track responses, give assessments and review material with a fun, game like approach, would promote interactive learning throughout the school. |

High school students are inherently board with school, because it is not as interactive as the rest of their world. Systems such as these make class interactive and keep students' attention levels up if they are required to interact in such a way. Quizzing students is always a problem because no matter what, students will always find a way to cheat. Again, systems like this make it harder to cheat, thus providing better statistical data on students and teachers alike. |

The XPRESS ARS would also be a great tool to use for staff meetings and professional development. It allows everyone a voice in deciding matters of importance. The ARS can bring closure to topics of discussion quickly, visually and accurately. The Xpress ARS would be an incredible tool for both students and staff that would be in high demand. |

We fully understand the value of quick feedback to gain better understanding of difficult and deep subjects. This is why an ARS system is so important to us. With a student teacher ratio of nearly 36 to 1, keeping students fully engaged is a never ending battle. |

Using XPRESS as an instructional tool not only provides teachers with a wonderful, technology-based means of assessing student growth (while building a database of information for on-going assessment), but will provide an innovative and fun way to get students engaged in their learning. |

Teachers today seem to have less free time than before these "aides" were available. For instance, we have longer days (more student contact time) and are expected to be on call via email in the evenings. So, anything that automates the mechanical processes of teaching, e.g. the marking of student papers and recording of the grades, is most welcome. XPRESS not only provides an exciting variation to the normal talk and chalk style of teaching (as per the example above), but also enables teachers to acquire and record grades directly during class, thus freeing us to create more interesting and varied lessons for our charges. |

If a teacher were to use the XPRESS system in lieu of traditional paper-and-pencil tests, she could save hours of time otherwise spent correcting. Assessments could be administered more frequently, and teachers would have a better sense of how successful certain teaching approaches had been. In addition, the game-like format of the system can help to motivate students, keep their attention peaked, and reduce typical negative test behavior that sometimes limits students' achievement. |

It was able to keep an entire audience of adult students "tuned in" to a lecture lesson. I can see how I could incorporate it into my health class to get the students involved in the straight lecture type lesson that is sometimes necessary when introducing new information. The ability to immediately collect feedback tells an instructor right away what should be reviewed or that it is safe to move ahead. The students think they are "playing" a game and come to enjoy the learning process! It's a win-win situation from both sides of the desk! I wish I had thought to invent it! |

XPRESS could also be very beneficial in teacher trainings or gathering data for school improvement. So many times we never see the results of data complied from these meetings. With EXPRESS charts and answers would be immediate! |

Communication and interaction are an important part of the learning process. XPRESS Audience Response system brings this interaction and communication to the learning process through technology. XPRESS Audience Response system ensures excitement and participation from the students. Through active participation their ability to retain the necessary information to succeed will be significantly increased. Participation using XPRESS Audience Response system will develop a hunger for learning in my students. It will empower them to be the best students they can be. |
